West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police Chief (Kapolda), Inspector General (Irjen) Djoko Poerwanto visits PT ASDP Lembar Port and Gili Mas Pelindo III Lembar Port to observe preparedness for the Harbor ahead MotoGP event that will commence in March 2022 at Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, Monday (1/31/2022).
Irjen Djoko Poerwanto in a statement said that this activity is to observe the readiness of the port towards the MotoGP event in March 2022 at Pertamina Mandalika Circuit.
“We directly visit the location in Lembar to see what the actual location was like. We had a lot of discussion with related parties at Lembar Port earlier," explained the Kapolda.
To estimate the number of visitors or spectators who will watch the event, he needs to discuss and see the field directly when it is a normal, dense, and very crowded situation. "That's why we try to see each stakeholder, to work together making this MotoGP a success," explained the Regional Police Chief.
In the discussion, solutions were found to handle traffic jams situation from the port to the Mandalika circuit. When asked about the number of personnel to be deployed, the Kapolda could not confirm yet but stated he will announce it later. “Things can definitely change," he said.
