Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Banda Aceh. Aceh Regional Police is ready to collaborate with Syiah Kuala University (USK) to accelerate the government's vaccination programme. The statement was issued by Chief of Aceh Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Haydar, during the greeting session with the Rector of USK, Prof Samsul Rizal, on Wednesday (8/9/2021) in USK, Darussalam, Banda Aceh city.
Chief of Aceh Regional Police mentioned that collaboration on vaccination acceleration should be done either with the university rector or the students. Therefore, the government's effort to achieve herd immunity in Aceh province would be materialised.
"This collaboration is important. The event would also be supported by our colleagues from Armed Forces and the USK to accelerate vaccination in order to achieve herd immunity", Chief of Aceh Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Syiah Kuala University warmly welcomed the Chief of Regional Police's statement to accelerate vaccination together. He also thanked the Aceh Regional Police that has been involved in establishing Presisi vaccination outlets in the USK's 60th anniversary.
"Representing the USK, I thanked the Aceh Regional Police for the Presisi vaccination outlet. It is an honour for us, moreover at the same time with the anniversary of USK", he said.
Besides that, USK Rector also offers his students to be involved in the vaccination events that Aceh Regional Police would organise.
"We also want to offer our students as the volunteer that perhaps could be deployed in every vaccination event organised by the Aceh Regional Police", the Rector of Syiah Kuala University said.
