Tribratanews.polri.go.id. – Serang. Banten Regional Police held a vaccination event targeting college students of Banten province. After previously Banten Regional Police personnel has vaccinated the workers, people with disabilities, and other communities.
The vaccination event is held at the Bidokkes Building of Banten Regional Police, beside the Serang City Square, on Wednesday (18/08/21). The event was held by adhering to strict Health Protocols.
Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto, through the Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Bina Gunawan Silitonga, said that the event is the effort to accelerate vaccination in order to achieve herd immunity in the community.
"This is the continuation of the national vaccination programme. Banten Regional Police would keep in synergy with the students, communities, and others to accelerate the vaccination so that the government's vaccination target could be achieved", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Bina Gunawan Silitonga said.
Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police added that the vaccination event targets mainly college students and provided 300 doses for students and 200 doses for the public. However, if the participant exceeds the expectation, he would still accept them.
"The college students participating in this event are from HMI, PMII, KAMMI, GMNI, and GMKI. Meanwhile, for the school students, we have conducted the event in several schools. We are now in 1 Public Senior High School of Ciruas", the member of Class 1999 graduates of the Police Academy said.
The representation from the college student, Muhammad Solahudin, thanked the Banten Regional Police that has been in synergy with the students. "This is the part of synergy between Banten Regional Police and us, and also as a part of our responsibilities as college students in order to make vaccination acceleration a success", he concluded.
