Accelerating Herd Immunity, Central Kalimantan Regional Police Host Merdeka Vaccination in Campus

In order to accelerate the suppression of the Covid-19 number in Central Kalimantan Province, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police again held simultaneous vaccinations in two places, namely at the Christian University of Palangka Raya and at the University of Palangka Raya, Wednesday (09/22/21).

The vaccination activities carried out at Palangkaraya Christian University were reviewed directly by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Dedi Prasetyo, while the vaccination at the University of Palangkaraya was reviewed directly by the Deputy Chief of Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Ida Oetari Poernamasasi.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner K. Eko Saputro said that the activity was simultaneously carried out in 96 points in Indonesia and was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, virtually.

"In this vaccination, we are targeting as many as 5,000 doses targeting the community and students in Palangka Raya City and distributing food packages to people who have carried out the vaccine as well as giving charity to vaccination officers," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police.

Police Grand Commissioner. K. Eko Saputro added that the activity was also carried out simultaneously by 14 Resort Police from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police.

"Hopefully, with the independent vaccination program this time, it can accelerate the formation of herd immunity in the community," concluded the Central Kalimantan Police Intermediate Officer.
