Accelerating Covid-19 Vaccination, South Kalimantan Regional Police Prepares 1,000 Doses of Vaccine for South Kalimantan People

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Banjarmasin. The National Police together with the Special Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the South Kalimantan Regional Police held the Merdeka Vaccination program as part of the policy to accelerate the Covid-19 vaccination.

Enthusiastic residents were seen from the young to the elderly who participated in participating in the vaccination which was held simultaneously throughout the South Kalimantan region, Monday (09/06/2021).

A total of 1,000 doses of vaccine were prepared by the South Kalimantan Regional Police in the implementation which took place at the Banjarmasin Cathedral Church, and was attended by the South Kalimantan Governor, the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief represented by Chief Operational Bureau of the South Kalimantan Regional Police, the Head of the South Kalimantan Regional Police's Medical and Health Division, Head of Bhayangkara Hospital, the Head of the South Kalimantan Health Service, the Mayor of Banjarmasin, the Banjarmasin City Resort Police Chief along with High Rank Officers of Banjarmasin City Resort Police, and Religious Leaders.

South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Rikwanto, Chief Operational Bureau of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Moch. Noor Subchan, said the Independent Vaccination was in the context of accelerating the achievement of vaccinations in the country, especially in the South Kalimantan region.

The Merdeka Vaccination, he continued, will take place from September 6-15, 2021, which will take place at 6 Islamic Boarding Schools, 1 Mosque, 1 Church and 1 College or University with 11,400 doses prepared.

South Kalimantan Regional Police's Chief Operational Bureau hopes that the community will participate in the government's program through the implementation of the Merdeka Vaccination.

"Hopefully the activities will run smoothly, there will be no crowds, there will be vaccine stocks and no shortages," said Chief Operational Bureau of the South Kalimantan Regional Police.
