Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mataram. From 14 to 20 October 2021, the Criminal Investigation Directorate of Regional Police wiped out dozens of gamblers of various types, such as lottery players, cards and others.
"We have uncovered at least 26 gambling cases, ranging from lottery to card gambling. Of that number, we have arrested 56 suspects," explained the Director of Criminal Investigation of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hari Brata.
The Director of Criminal Investigation said that of the 56 suspects arrested. The operation also helped secure evidence such as more than IDR 15 million cash, dozens of cellphones, transfer receipts, and various photos of online gambling transactions, among others.
This gambling case was spread across several jurisdictions in West Nusa Tenggara and was arrested by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police work unit. The Director of Criminal Investigation said this operation was carried out to create security and public order.
"For people who find gambling activities or other criminal behaviour, immediately report it to the local authorities," concluded the Director of Criminal Investigation.
