This philosophy behind choosing a color has become a reason why there is a change in Security Guards (Satpam) uniform, Wednesday (2/2/2022). If the previous color is brown, that was considered similar to those of the Police, so that it reduced Satpam's role as part of the internal security of an institution.
It is said that most people are having a difficult time distinguishing between the Police and Satpam. Polri also did not object to those complaints. Now, Satpam has a new uniform, colored beige. Besides being more bright, this color gives a strong message, a great synergy between the Police and Satpam.
In the end, this change of color in Satpam uniform will be going to give a positive impact on the Police itself. The community, then, will be able to easily distinguish between the Police and assess themself the professionalism of the said officer. Thus, this choice of color is a strong message given by the Polri and Satpam to increase their service to the community.
