The 93-Line Pesat Gatra of Police Academy Alumni Association held a social service (Baksos) in order to support government policies in helping people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The social service in the form of distribution of 14,000 basic food packages was held simultaneously in 7 Regional Police in the Java and Bali regions.
"The Covid-19 pandemic has not ended, the implementation of government policies regarding the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) to suppress the spread of the Covid-19 virus is still ongoing. The Police Academy alumni association in 1993, Yon Pesat Gatra, supports government policies in helping people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," explained the Head of the National Police Education and Training Center, Pol. Brigadier General Mardiaz Kusin Dwihananto, on the sidelines of delivering food packages to the Sukabumi Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Dedy Darmawansyah, at the Sutadi Ronodipuro field, Police Officers Candidate School of National Police's Educational Institutes and Training Command, Bandung, West Java.
We distributed 14,000 food packages at the same time to 7 Regional Police in Java and Bali. For the Sukabumi area, there are 400 packages, which will later be distributed in Cibadak District, namely in Tenjojaya Village, Neglasari Village and Sukasirna Village, he added.
Police Officers Candidate School Chairman of National Police's Educational Institutes and Training Command also explained that this activity will continue so that it will be able to help people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are aware that during this pandemic our society has greatly decreased its economic condition, this social service may not have solved the problem but at least it can reduce the burden on our brothers and sisters, and hopefully this pandemic will end soon, hoped the Head of the National Police Education and Training Center.
In addition, he continued, this Social Service is also a learning medium for Initiation Protocol Section students as good role models for future assignments in the region in fostering empathy and caring for the community in order to support and realize a conducive Kamtibmas situation in any situation.
On the same occasion, the Sukabumi Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Dedy Darmawansyah, expressed his gratitude to the alumni association of the 93 Police Academy for the social services carried out in their jurisdiction.
