Tribratanews.polri.go.id - More than 3,000 health workers have been deployed to 194 different locations in eight districts of Cianjur after the Regency was hit by an earthquake. The eight districts includes Pacet, Cugenang, Gekbrong, Warungkondang, Mande, Cilaku, Cibeber, and Cianjur district.
“The health workers includes doctors, nurses, nutritionists, midwives, pharmacists, surveillance personnel, environmental health, therapists, psychologists, and various specialist doctors to support the health services of affected residents," said The Acting Head of Data, Information, and Communication Center of National Board for Disaster Management, Abdul Muhari, quoted from merdeka.com (11/28).
According to him, those health workers are under the supervision of Ministry of Health. Those health workers are tasked with observing and recording the data to prevent disease or epidemics as well as submitting health logistics to the relevant agencies. Meanwhile, health workers who are members of the sanitarian team ara also tasked to collect and check the quality of water at 20 evacuation points.
"To transport victims who need surgery or treatment at health facilities, 16 ambulances are available which will picked them up directly at the location," he concluded.
