This is in response to the National Police's complete and thick explanation document regarding his achievements so far.
"Then, I appreciate the active context of the Police in dealing with Covid-19," continued the Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
Regarding the global legal paradigm shift towards a restorative justice system, Adang underlined that this is highly desired by today's society.
“When I talk to Brawijaya University students in order to discuss cyber police, this restorative justice approach is very desirable and makes sense. This means that the Indonesian National Police in the context of the Criminal Procedure Code is the main door in determining restorative justice,” he concluded.
Furthermore, he explained that this (restorative justice approach) means that National Police's human resources are very decisive in the field.
"This National Police Human Resources will determine whether the legal process will continue or be completed fairly, where in the context on the ground, I hope that officials who are in direct contact with the community are National Police officials who are capable of resolving it (restorative justice)," he explained.
In closing, members of Commission III of the DPR RI did not forget to give appreciation to the North Sumatra Regional Police for the settlement of environmental damage that occurred in Lake Toba which will become a national tourist spot.
"I appreciate the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief who has taken such good steps in order to resolve problems with the local community, so that environmental damage in Lake Toba can be overcome," he concluded.
