The restoration of electricity supply in Lumajang allows people to return to their activities. People around the foot of Mount Semeru can now enjoy electricity after the eruption that occurred on Sunday (12/4).

One of the locals, Wasweni, appreciated the State Electricity Company’s (PLN) swiftness in restoring the electricity supply. He was happy because PLN also provided health services and food assistance for the refugees.

"We have everything we need now. Now we can recharge our cellphones, and our lamp is working again too now. Thank God, food is also sufficient. Thanks to PLN, now we can see the roads clearly again now at night," Wasweni said as quoted from detik.com, Thursday (12/8).

Meanwhile, the President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo stated that PLN would continue to maintain the supply of electricity at the evacuation posts and continue to provide assistance during the alert. In addition, PLN also provides health service assistance.

PLN also sent food trucks that distributed 500 packages of ready-to-eat food every day, 2 ambulance units with 3 medical personnel, 1 unit of public toilet car containing 4 toilets, and PLN standby posts ready to serve the needs of refugees.

The Lumajang Regency Government previously stated that the emergency alert status would last for 14 days from the eruption.
