Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Indonesian National Defense Council assessed the colaboration between TNI-Polri in handling post-Cianjur earthquake disaster is felt by the community, says the National Defense Council Secretariat General, Vice Admiral TNI Harjo Susmoro.
The steps taken by the two institutions, such as building public kitchen, evacuating the victims, to sending trauma healing teams for refugees, are considered a well planned measures. The synergy between the two is already going strong and responsive.
“It is good enough, they are very responsive. When the accident occured on Monday, November 21st, 2022, TNI-Polri immediately made their move although they have other duties at that moment. If we look on it, they are very responsive and adequate in handling the impact of the earthquake,” said Vice Admiral Harjo.
He then appreciates what the government and all parties involved in helping the earthquake refugees, including the local community who also helped with the evacuation process.
Regarding some minor issues, such as the incident where one person blocked the distribution of provisions in Cianjur, he said that those things are handled pretty well. He then suggest that those kind of actions should not be repeated because the government are well aware with what they are doing.
“I think the people should also be aware with the difficulties in distributing the provisions. They don’t need to halt the evacuation or distribution process, they just need to communicate it with the authorities,” he said.
