INP Vice Chief Inspects Security Measures Ahead of ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo

The Vice Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, accompanied by the Inspector of General Supervision of INP Commissioner General Ahmad Dofiri, the Head of Security Maintenance Board Fadil Imran, and the Mobil Brigade Commander Commissioner General Anang Revandoko, visited Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara to assess the security preparedness ahead of the 2023 ASEAN Summit (KTT) scheduled for May.

“During the visit, the Vice Chief of INP conducted a series of activities, including a security readiness meeting and vital objects security checking, such as the airport that will be occupied by delegates from each participating country in the ASEAN Summit on May, 9-11,” said Police Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, the Head of Public Relations Division of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, on Thursday (27/4/23).

The entourage also checked other important objects such as the command center and the accommodation for police officers who will be responsible for securing the event.

“The Vice Chief of INP hopes that the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police will enhance the security measures to ensure the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo runs smoothly and safely,” he said.

Approximately 1.660 personnel from the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police and its subordinate police precincts will be deployed to maintain security during the event.
