Regarding the distribution of Cash Direct Assistance (BLT) and other form of assistance, the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Chief, Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto, appealed to the people who manage the aids to do it accordingly and does not violate the law.
"I urge you to manage it accordingly. Which means that to distibute the aids right on target and not to misuse it," he said in Kupang, Monday (26/9/2022).
He conveyed this in response to questions regarding the anticipation of the misuse of BLT for Fuel Oil and also other BLTs distributed by the central government for the underprivileged.
The Head of NTT Regional Police said that during the process of distributing the aid in NTT, there was no discovery of any abuse of BLT by certain individuals.
However, the team from the NTT Regional Police continued to monitor the distribution of BLT in the island-based region to anticipate the misuse by certain individuals.
The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of NTT Province noted that 429,421 families in NTT were recorded as recipients of the aids.
Of that amount, the total value of the money disbursed reached Rp257.6 billion, all of which was intended for people who heavily struggled against the impact of the fuel price hike.
The government distributes the aid worth of IDR 150,000 per family per month for four months from September to December 2022.
