The National Police Chief Immediately Dispatch Six Team to Support the Investigation of Kanjuruhan Tragedy

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Malang. The National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, have deployed six teams from the National Police Headquarters to investigate the tragedy of Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java that occurred after the Arema FC versus Persebaya match. The six of them consist of elements from the Criminal Investigation Unit, Profession and Security Division, and Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System of the National Police.

"I have ordered the team from the National Police Headquarters, consisting of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Profession and Security Division, then SPI Polri, Indonesian National Police Medical and Health Center, Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System of the National Police, then Forensic Laboratory Center to take immediate steps to support our investigation," explained the National Police Chief when he was at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Sunday (2/2). /10) night.

The National Police Chief also explained that this team was dispatched to find the factors that caused the crowd to panicked and jostled in a huge mass, which eventually caused many casualties in those tragedy. According to him, based on this team's investigation, the police can determine who is responsible and should be punished.

The National Police Chief also ensured that the team that he had dispatched to check all data, both from the match organizing committee, field officers, and CCTV footage inside the stadium.

"For now, what is clear is that we will be serious and investigate this case thoroughly. Regarding the security operation for future events will be discussedt later. Of course this tragedy will be a reference for future league's security procedure," he explained further.
