To prevent the practice of illegal levies in Sukamara Regency, the Water and Air Police Unit of Sukamara conducted socialization to the public regarding extortion through banners while also appealing for the community to comply with the health protocols, Sunday (11/09/2022).
The Head of the Water and Air Police Unit of Sukamara AKP Wawan Gusnandar said that the socialization carried out by the personnel was aimed to suppress extortion. Because extortion harms not only the victims but also the one who extorted it.
"We will continue to socialize that there is a root problem of why there is an extortion, and it would certainly affect both for those who give and those who receive," explained the AKP Wawan Gusnandar.
Other than socializing and disseminating the legal information, the unit also provides security and safety message for those who worsk in the waters of Jelai watershed.
