Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mamuju. West Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca, gave his directions to all major officials, police chiefs, and officers from the West Sulawesi Regional Police not to live a glamorous lifestyle so as not to cause social jealousy. This direction is in accordance to the orders of the Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

"It is better to avoid the glamorous lifestyle so as not to cause social jealousy. Be careful and aware of cameras and the use of social (media) that can degrade the image of the Police," explained the West Sulawesi Police Chief in his virtual speech, Thursday (20/10/2022).

The Head of the West Sulawesi Regional Police hopes that the Police will regain the trust of the community by providing good service. This is in accordance with President Joko Widodo's message when he met with the National Police Chief and his staff at the State Palace some time ago.

"Mr. President really hopes the public would trust the Police once again. For that, we have to do better in our main duties and providing good service to the smallest things," said the Head of the West Sulawesi Regional Police.

He also reminded police personnel not to get involved in practical politics, and also hopes that police personnel will join hands with the army and cooperate with local governments in overcoming food problems.

"Let's unite our vision whereas the Police acts as the protectors, guidance and servant of the community. Our law enforcement should not be considered weak. If an incident occurs, it must be responded quickly and firmly," said the West Sulawesi Police Chief.

In concluding his directive, the Head of the West Sulawesi Regional Police ordered his members to convey the President Joko Widodo's messages to their family members. "I hope we can do our duty well and hopefully God Almighty will protect us all," said the Head of the West Sulawesi Regional Police.
