Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. A fugitive from illegal logging cases, Adelin Lis, who has been chased by the prosecutor's office for 10 years, has been recorded to have escaped with fake passports several times. The National Police said they would coordinate with the Directorate General of Immigration regarding this matter. Later we will coordinate with the Directorate General of Immigration, explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Pol. General Inspector Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, S.I.K., M.Sc. Previously, it was known that Adelin Lis was involved in illegal logging cases. He was then sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2008. Adelin escaped by forging a passport. "Adelin Lis was involved in a case of illegal logging and was sentenced to 10 years and paid a fine of more than IDR 110 billion by the Supreme Court in 2008. However, she fled and later faked her passport using the name Hendro Leonardi," said the Chairman of the Attorney General's Legal Information Center, Leonard Eben. Ezer Simanjuntak. According to Leonard, this is not the first time Adelin has run away. In 2006, he also did this by hitting an officer. The issue of Andelin Lis' fake passport was discovered by the Singapore Immigration. In 2018, Singapore's immigration system found the same data for two different names. "Singapore Immigration then sent a letter to the Immigration Attache of Indonesian Embassy in Singapore to confirm whether the two different names are actually the same person," he said. Leonard said that Adelin Lis's son wrote to the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office so that his father would be allowed to return to Medan alone and would come to the Medan District Attorney's Office. Even Adelin Lis is said to have booked flight tickets to Medan on June 18, 2021.
