Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has reported that hundreds of traffic accidents occurred on the homecoming route on Sunday (23/4/23), resulting in 332 minor injuries, 46 severe injuries, and 39 deaths.
“Accidents on Sunday (23/4/23) amounted to 251 according to our data,” said the Spokesperson of the Public Relations Division of INP Police Senior Superintendent Ahmad Musthofa Kamal during a press conference on Monday (24/4/23).
He urged the travelers to ensure good physical health and inspect vehicles before commencing travel. He further advised travelers to maximize rest areas for rest and to ensure they have enough electronic funds.
Travelers who were heading home or who had already started their journey should utilize the Google Maps application to receive real-time traffic updates, he suggested.
