Their main target for these provisions are pedicab drivers, the poor, scavengers, road cleaners, online motorcycle taxis, public transport drivers, and others.
''This is an activity to help people who need the supplies, so that it would ease their struggling due to the increase in fuel prices,'' explained Salatiga Police Chief, AKBP Indra Mardiana. ''This activity will continue to be carried out in several places,'' continued Salatiga Police Chief yesterday.
The Salatiga Police Chief explained that the provision of basic necessities was in accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief and Central Java Police Chief to pay attention and take care the community who are affected by the increase in fuel prices.
The distribution process involved college students and journalists on duty in Salatiga City and its surroundings.
The Salatiga Police Chief also encourage the community to help each other. Solidarity among the community must be built together.
“I hope this activity could inspire the others to help each other,” said Salatiga Police Chief.
