Attending EU-ASEAN Summit, Jokowi Departs to Belgium

President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for Brussels, Belgium, to take part in the European Union and ASEAN Summit (EU-ASEAN Summit) this Tuesday (13/12/22) morning. The EU-ASEAN Summit will be held on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022.

President Jokowi's departure is reported from the official agenda of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. The Vice President himself will send off President Jokowi's departure at the VVIP Terminal 3 Building, Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

"At 09:00 WIB, the Vice President will sent off the departure of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo to Belgium," according to the report from the Vice President's agenda on Monday (12/12).

Meanwhile, according to the official EU-ASEAN website, the meeting held by the leaders of the European Union and ASEAN in Brussels is to mark 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two.

Currently, Indonesia has officially become the chair of ASEAN for the 2023 period since it was inaugurated on November 13th, 2022 after the closing ceremony of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summit at the Sokha Hotel Phnom Penh.
