The Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the National Police (Polri) Public Relations Division (Divisi Humas), Brigadier General Dr. Ahmad Ramadhan, S.H., M.H., M.Sc., explained that his party would develop the submission of a red notice to Interpol for the suspect Saifuddin Ibrahim. The police suspect that Saifuddin Ibrahim is currently in the United States.
“Everything requires a process. When the red notice has been issued and we will announce it," explained Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri, Wednesday (30/3/2022).
The One-Star General confirmed that investigators would try to uncover the case related to Saifuddin Ibrahim. He also explained that investigators would also coordinate with relevant ministries/agencies in the case.
"In general, we will continue to conduct investigations and coordinate the investigations with all ministry agencies related to this issue," he said.
The Bareskrim Polri has named Saifuddin Ibrahim as a suspect. Saifuddin became a suspect in the aftermath of reporting by several parties to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Saifuddin was reported after he asked the Indonesian Minister of Religion to delete around 300 verses of the Koran.
