"The Head of the Regional Police gave directions that each member assigned to secure this championship in order to be able to provide security and safety for the participants as well as the community and continue to monitor," said Riau Islands Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Grand Police Harry Goldenhardt S., S.I.K., M.Si., on Saturday (10/15/22).
According to the Head of Public Relations, the Head of the Riau Islands Regional Police directly observed the execution of online security from personnel cameras at every junction traversed by the contestants on the second day of the tournament.
"He praises the performance of all personnel on the ground, especially those directly participating in live streaming the Tour de Bintan cycling event," remarked the Head of Public Relations.
Grand Commissioner Adjutant Tidar Wulung Dahono, the Head of the Bintan Resort Police, adding that the security at this event is executed in compliance with the established Standard Operating Procedures.
"In addition, this event is an international activity; in this case, we support local governments and develop security synergy with Regional Leadership Communication Forums," he stated.
The Head of the Bintan Resort Police also underlined that when it came to security, his team attempted not to rationalize the ordinary, but rather to become acclimated to the appropriate things in accordance with the applicable SOPs.
