Tribratanews.polri.go.id - The National Police stated that they immediately moved quickly to deploy the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team from the East Java Regional Police and local hospitals to speed up the identification process for victims of the match between Arema Vs Persebaya.
"For now, the DVI team of the National Police has immediately gone to Malang to back up the DVI Team of East Java Police and the local hospital to accelerate the identification of victims," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General, Dedi Prasetyo, Jakarta, Sunday (2/10/22).
The DVI Team was led directly by Brigadier General Nyoman. Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said that the police took immediate measures to provide medical assistance to the victims of the incident.
"And we are focusing on providing medical assistance to the victims who are currently being treated in the hospitals," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police.
As previously reported, the match between Arema FC vs. Persebaya Surabaya in week 11 of Liga 1 2022/2023 ended in tragedy. Supporters and police became victims of the riots that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang on Saturday night, October 1, 2022.
