Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Directorate of Cyber Crime of National Police Criminal Investigation Unit will study a new method of embezzlement by means of mis-transfer. This was explained by the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, who responded to a viral video circulating on social media about a woman telling the story of her friend who almost got scammed through this new method.
"I have followed up this issue to the Directorate of Cyber Crime. What is clear is that cases such as scams through online loans with various modus operandi will be studied by the Directorate of Cyber Crime and OJK," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police as quoted from Liputan6.com on Saturday (10/22/2022).
Related to the viral video, a woman recounted the story of her friend who almost got scammed. She said that her friend was initially contacted by an unknown person and said there has been a mis-transfer, and asked her friend to transfer the money back.
