South Sumatra Police Solved Dozens of Narcotics Crimes

Tribratanews.polri.go.id -  Palembang. The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Regional Police (Polda) of South Sumatra (Sumsel) along with the Polrestabes and Polres ranks in the region managed to uncover dozens of drug cases in the South Sumatra region.

In the last week, Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumsel managed to secure 42 drug couriers who circulate the illicit goods in the region.

The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jambi, Commissioner Supriadi., said that compared to the previous week, this week, or the second week of May 2022, the disclosure of drug cases had increased.

"From the records that we received there was an increase in the second week of May where previously we were able to reveal four cases, while this week our personnel managed to uncover 39 cases by securing 42 couriers and three users," stated Kabid Humas Sumsel.

In total, the police managed to secure 45 suspects in the second week of May 2022. As for the evidence that was secured are 565.18 grams of methamphetamine, 675.18 grams of marijuana, and 92 pills of ecstasy.

"For the second week of May 2022, we find that there are two Departmental Police who have not found any drug crimes, namely the Empat Lawang Police and the Muratara Police," explained Kabid Humas Sumsel.

From the evidence of drugs that were secured, Kabid Humas Polda Sumsel continued that the police had succeeded in rescuing hundreds of youths from the illicit goods.
