Police Stressed ETLE Will Not Hinder the Awareness of Traffic Police in the Field

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palembang.   The South Sumatra Police traffic police has the obligation to provide safe and orderly traffic in their region. In enforcing the law, they will intensify the use of ETLE or electronic ticketing. With how advanced the technology is, it will automaticaly detect traffic violators. However, the police stressed that it will not reduced the awareness of traffic police officers against traffic violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents.

"What is clear is that our program does not reduce the awareness of our members against violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents," explained the Director of Traffic of the South Sumatra Police, Commissioner M Pratama Adhyasastra, Monday (10/24). "However, we will still prioritize the use of ETLE, which is part of the effort in modernize the Police," he continued.

As reported by detiksumsel.com, for now, in the Palembang City area, 13 ETLE static cameras and one ETLE Mobile have been operated. His party also aims to install ETLE cameras in another 17 regencies/cities of South Sumatra, by the end of this year.

"It should be noted that almost 2,500 traffic violations can be captured in a day, and those violations will still be processed to discipline the public in driving safely," said Commissioner M Pratama Adhyasastra.
