NTT Police Sends Out 28 Tanks of Clean Water to Kupang

Tribratanews.polri.go.id -  The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police distributed 140,000 liters of clean water to the area who’s experiencing drought in Kupang City and South Amanuban District, South Central Timor Regency (TTS), on Monday (12/09/2022).

Those hundred thousands of liter was brought by 28 tanker and was sent off by NTT Police Chief, Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto from the field of NTT Police HQ at Jenderal Soeharto Street, along with 538 20, 10, and five liters of jerry cans.

For the South Amanuban sub-district, the water is distributed to 100 families spread over three villages of Bila, Kium, and Oeou. Those aid was also sent to the Oemathonis Church and Al Ikhlas Mosque as well as elementary and junior high schools in Bila Village. "We have conducted a survey and it is true that they are having a drought," said the NTT Police Chief to reporters.

According to the NTT Police Chief, the distribution of water is part of a series of commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of Bhayangkari Unit and the 67th Anniversary of Traffic Unit. "I'm sure there are still places where water is dry, but we prioritize these location first," explained the NTT Police Chief.

The Two-Star General also instructed the main officials to distribute clean water assistance to other areas experiencing drought, as the NTT Police Mobile Brigade Unit had distributed the clean water to the people of Kupang Regency and Kupang City last week.

"The provision of water is not as much as those distributed today, however we will provide them with clean water regularly every month," concluded the NTT Police Chief.
