West Nusa Tenggara Police Tighten Their Security in Five Entry Points of Lombok

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mataram.  Five entrances to Lombok Island will be tightened a week ahead of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) at the Mandalika Circuit, which will take place on November 11-13, 2022.

NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto, said that all entrances, both air and sea routes to Lombok Island, would be tightened ahead of the 2022 WSBK. The NTB Regional Police will also prepare traffic engineering.

"So we have to paid a close attention to the entrances of Lombok island, particularly its five entry points. We have also prepared traffic engineering or traffic management to Lombok," said the NTB Police Chief, Saturday (11/5/22).

Reported by detik.com, the five entrances are Lombok International Airport, Lembar Harbor, Gili Mas Sheet, East Lombok Kayangan Port, and Bangsal Harbor.

"Still, the concept of security is those like MotoGP. All vehicles will move from one point to another, and this must be given extra security," he said.

According to him, as many as 182 personnel will be dispatched at all entrances to Lombok Island. All personnel will monitor and oversee any potential disturbances before the 2022 WSBK at the Mandalika Circuit.

"This is a series of routine activities that are intensified because there is a G20 Summit (Summit) event in Bali as well," said the Two-Star General.

For the 10 shortcuts to Bali and the entry route to Lombok Island, there will be a patrol to oversee the traffic. "All routes that have the potential to cause disturbances need to be secured," he explained.
