Polda Malut Exterminate Thousand Bottles of Liquor

Tribratanews.polri.go.id -  The North Maluku Regional Police (Polda Maluku) destroyed thousands of bottles of liquor after it was confiscated from Operation Pekat Kieraha 2022, which aims to create a sense of security in the community ahead of Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah.

“Of course, we aim to arrest the liquor industry players, gamblers, drugs, marijuana, and shabu-shabu, all of which will be processed according to the applicable law,” said Kapolda Malut, Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin, S.I.K., while leading the destroying of evidence from Operation Pekat Kieraha 2022, Friday (1/4/22).

Kapolda Malut stated that the Operation was conducted from March 23 to April 1 2022 and involve the Regional Police and officers in religious communities who will carry out their worship in the holy month of Ramadhan with solemnity.

He appreciates all members who have carried out the operation for 10 days as well as local governments, religious leaders, community leaders, cultural leaders, and youth leaders who have provided information to facilitate the police’s work.

The destruction of the evidence was also witnessed by the High Officials Polda Malut, the Ternate Police Chief AKBP Andik, Ternate Mayor Tauhid Soleman, the Head of the Ternate High Court, and the Ternate KSOP Representative.

On another occasion, the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Malut, Commissioner Michael Irwan Thamsil, S.I.K., said that the destruction of evidence of Operation Pekat Kieraha 2022 was carried out simultaneously throughout North Maluku.

“The evidence that was destroyed by Polda Malut were 5,649 bottles of liquor, including white beer, black beer, red wine, Black Label, whiskey, and Heineken beer, as well as Captain Morgan, from the results of Operations Pekat Kierha by KRYD North Maluku Police and their ranks, “said Kabid Humas.

He hoped that this would provide a sense of security and comfort for Muslims in carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan.
