"This is the disclosure of gambling case from 2021 to 2022, with various types of conventional gambling cases such as cockfighting gambling, lottery gambling, playing card gambling, to online gambling cases," he said.
"In 2021 the Lampung Regional Police and their ranks arrested 357 people with 146 cases. Meanwhile, from early 2022 to August, we have secured 220 people with 96 cases," said the Deputy Chief of the Lampung Police.
The Deputy Chief of Police adds that, as for the cases in 2022, the Lampung Police also managed to secure the evidence of Rp35,081 820.
Then from August 16 to August 26 2022, the Lampung Regional Police has succeeded in securing the 12 perpetrators of online gambling and conventional gambling from seven police reports. Hundreds of suspects will be charged with multiple layers of articles, namely Article 303 paragraph (1) and Article 27 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (2) of Law No. Number 11 of 2009 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions, with a maximum threat of 10 years in prison.
