Tribratanews.polri.go.id -  The East Java Police continue to try to reduce the number of accidents and one way to do it is to increase technology-based innovation said the East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nico Afinta at the East Java Regional Police HQ, Friday (23/9/22).

Inspector General Nico Afinta said that many innovations have been made by the traffic units of the East Java Regional Police, such as the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) and their latest inovation is MTC (Monitoring tracking check list).

“Then there was also MTC, an innovation where the community could monitor the process of registration and identification. By downloading the MTC application on your cellphone, you can directly monitor the process, so there’s no need to queue anymore at the police station,” explained the Police Chief.

Regarding the handling of traffic accidents, the Police Chief said that they still need to improve their traffic accident handling performance, with the priority of helping the victims of the accident. "This means that after an accident, integration and communication of coordination between institutions in handling accidents, and the speed of helping victims, then taking them to the hospital is an important part in saving human lives," he explained.

Inspector General Nico Afinta emphasized that the East Java Police Traffic Directorate had made innovations related to handling traffic accidents so that they could be handled quickly. "Our Traffic Directorate has built a system for the community and stakeholders, where they could inform the traffic accident through that app, then officers and ambulance will immediately go to the crime scene, and then do first aid to the victims, said the Chief of Police of East Java.
