Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bali. Ahead of the G20 Presidency Summit in Bali, Bali Police firmly forbade the public to use loud exhausts. Bali Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto urged the people who still use loud exhaust to immediately change it with the factory standard exhaust.

This appeal is an effort by the Bali Police to maintain order during the G20 Summit on 15-16 November 2022.

"We urged the people whose vehicles still use loud exhausts to immediately replace them with factory standard exhausts, so that it would not disturb other drivers in the road," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, quoted from ntmcpolri.info, Monday (31/10/2022).

The Bali Police assesses that the use of loud exhausts on vehicles is disturbing the community, due to its unsettling sound.

"Using a loud exhaust can cause noise pollution, and could disturbs other people and delegates of the G20 Summit," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police.

Meanwhile, the Bali Police Chief has announced that they will use 200 electric motorcycles and one electric car provided by Smoot Electrik, SWAP Energi, and Grab Indonesia to oversee the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022.

It was reported that the two-wheeled electric vehicle unit on loan is powered by a battery of 1,500 watts, that could travel up to 60 km. Bali Police is said to use the electric vehicles as an operational vehicle for its members in securing and escorting the G20 Summit.

Not only that, SWAP Energi also provides their support by providing General Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Stations spread over 100 locations in Bali through the Circle K network.
