Six personnel from the Riau Regional Police were given an award from the United Nations (UN). The six personnel are known to be members of the Garuda Bhayangkara FPU 3 MINUSCA Task Force that are on duty in Bangui, Central Africa.
Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Commissioner Sunarto said that the international award was received at the end of their assignment.
“The rewards were given symbolically at the Medal Parade Ceremony which was held at Garuda Camp M'Poko on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. The event was attended by the Deputy Senior Representative Secretary General (DSRSG) of MINUSCA, Lizbeth Cullity and the Commander of the Garuda Bhayangkara Task Force Contingent FPU 3 MINUSCA, Commissioner Raymond M Masengi,” he said on Thursday (8/18).
Commissioner Sunarto explained that the awards were given to honor the personnel for their participation on United Nations Multidimensionel Integrated Stabilization Mission In The Central African Republic (UN MINUSCA). The three personnel of FPU 3 Indonesia have given their all on their peace mission in Central Africa from 140 members of the Garuda Bhayangkara Task Force FPU 3 MINUSCA.
"Out of this number, six of them are members of the Riau Police, they are AKP Adek Susilo from the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Riau Police, Brigadier Irwandi from the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Riau Police, Brigadier Evan Torus Manalu from the Pekanbaru Police, Brigadier Herman Nasrul from the Pekanbaru Police, Brigadier Dino Sutrisno from the Bengkalis Police, and Brigadier Ramadhan S from Bengkalis Police," he explained.
