Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Youth organizations, students, and elements of laborers took a vow and expressed their commitment to support and oversee the development of the New Capital.
Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Youth Center, Sunanto, explained the reasons for supporting the development of the new capital. According to him, the relocation of the State’s Capital is not only a physical transfer, but also a transfer of equitable development and fulfillment of the hopes of the nation's next generation.
"Our people have the same hope and opportunity to equally receive the knowledge and prosperity, so we must support the relocation of the capital city, because it provides hope and opportunity for all of us," said Sunanto, often called Cak Nanto, Friday (17/6/22).
Meanwhile, President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI), Said Iqbal, said there were around 150,000 workers working in the construction of IKN. According to him, IKN is one of the masterpieces for Indonesian.
"Everything is integrated in a smart forest city. The city has a good concept. I often go to Europe and it feels more like Europe,while also maintaining the cultural traditions of the archipelago," he explained.
Said Iqbal said he was happy and hoped that the new capital’s development would run quickly and smoothly. In fact, he called this new capital as a legend from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Furthermore, Said Iqbal also appreciated the National Police Chief, who also celebrated the 76th anniversary of Bhayangkara, at the new capital of Indonesia. According to him, this can revive Bhayangkara values so that they are embedded in IKN. "I think this is an effective way where you don't need to say much, but the message is there. The values of Bhayangkara that have been built up to this point, dedication and service to the state as state servants, are put here at the new capital," he explained.
At the event, the of youth organizations, students and labor elements were also pledged their support to the development of the new capital.
This is the vow that they stated:
“We are committed to supporting the development of the new capital city of the archipelago as part of efforts to realize the vision of a golden Indonesia 2045. To become a sovereign, advanced, just, and prosperous nation”.
Other than reading the pledge, a Health Service Day event was also held to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara which was also attended by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
