Head of Aceh Police, Inspector General Ahmad Haydar orders the Traffic Directorate to intensify their disemination on ETLE law enforcement.
“We asked Aceh Police Traffic Directorate to improve their disemination effort of ETLE, particularly on how it operates,” said Aceh Police quoted from antaranews.com, Tuesday (12/6).
He then continued that ETLE is Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps’ program in implementing advanced technology to enforce the law on the road.
Moreover, he emphasized that ETLE is still a very new thing for the people, most of them did not really know how it operates. Therefore, he says that the people should know how ETLE works, starting from how it records the violation to how violators pay the fine.
“Particularly on the mechanism for issuing letters and paying fines, this information should be diseminated widely to the community. And also at the locations prone to violatios, there must be a warning and education regarding traffic laws and safe driving,” said Aceh Police Chief.
He then stressed that ETLE is not merely to ticketing the violators, but more to improving the discipline of drivers in the road and suppresing the numbers of unlawful traffic police in the field.
