tribratanews.polri.go.id -The Women's and Children's Service (PPA) Unit of the Kaur Departemental Police (Polres Kaur) of Bengkulu Police (Polda Bengkulu) managed to apprehend 2 rapist of a 15-year-old student of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah schools in Kaur Regency on last Sunday (27/3). The suspect is EK (21), a resident of Tanjung Kemuning District, and YO (17), a resident of North Kaur District, Kaur Regency.
"We have secured the suspect for sexual abuse of minors. We have arrested one of these two suspects. YO is not detained and only has to do mandatory report because he is still a minor," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim), Iptu Indro Witayudha Prawira, S.I.K., on Thursday (7/4). The rape occurred on Sunday (27/3) at around 15.30 WIB.
This rape started when the victim and EK met after befriending on Facebook. Then EK took the girl to the garden hut, and then he raped the victim. After the girl was raped by EK, they met YO.
Then YO took the girl to an empty house, and she was raped again. After being satisfied with their depraved actions, the suspects left the victim. The girl returned to her house and told what happened to her mother. Then the victim's mother reported the suspect to Polres Kaur and the Police arrested the two suspects by the Kaur Police PPA unit.
"We are still developing this case, including the involvement of other suspects. For now, there are two suspects with two crime scenes, namely in a hut and an empty house," explained Kasatreskrim.
Due to their actions, the two suspects were charged with the article on the crime of sexual intercourse and/or obscenity against minors as referred to in article 81 and or article 82 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. The second amendment to the RI Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning the protection of children with a minimum threat of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years in prison.
