The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo with Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono conducted a review of the 2023 Eid homecoming to Bakauheni, Ciwandan, Panjang, Indah Kiat and Merak ports, Thursday (4/20/23).
The review was carried out to ensure that travelers with sea transportation services are provided optimally. In addition, the review also aims to find out what obstacles occurred during the several days of the 2023 Eid homecoming.
Later, INP Chief and his entourage will listen to presentations from the ranks of the Banten Regional Police and the Lampung Regional Police, and related agencies regarding the scenario of dealing with overcrowding. It is known, there had been congestion towards the port.
Not only observing the homecoming traffic in the Merak area, Banten, the group will also check the traffic flow in Cikopo, West Java. This check ensures that the traffic engineering applied can actually reduce density.
