Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) Listyo Sigit Prabowo accompanied by the Head of INP Traffic Corps Firman Santyabudi conducted a direct monitoring of the homecoming traffic at the Kalikangkung toll gate in Central Java on Tuesday (18/4/23).

The monitoring is part of an effort to ensure a smooth and safe implementation of the one-way traffic engineering from KM 72 to the Kalikangkung toll gate in KM 414.

In his statement, the Chief of INP reported that the number of traveler’s vehicles in the Trans Java toll continues to show a significant increase on the four days before the Eid al-Fitr, reaching 30 thousand vehicles per hour.

“The normal limit at the Kalikangkung toll gate is 10 thousand vehicles per hour, and now it has reached 30,000 vehicles per hour,” he said.

He revealed that the peak of the homecoming traffic is predicted to start on Wednesday night (19/4/23), with the Kalikangkung toll gate expecting to see around 60 thousand vehicles passing through, based on last year’s data. To manage this, a centralized one-way traffic engineering strategy led by the Head of INP Traffic Corps will be implemented from the Cikampek area to the Kalikangkung toll gate, starting at 12:30 PM and ending at 12:00 AM on Tuesday (18/4/23).

In order to disseminate information related to the changes in traffic engineering, he has asked the Central Java Regional Police and the INP Traffic Corps to collaborate with the mass media.
