The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, inaugurate 2,073 new officers of the police who graduates from Police Inspector School, Monday (10/3) afternoon.
The inauguration ceremony of the Police Inspector Police generation 51st were attended by the 2.123 officer who are consisted of four Police Education Institute, 1,726 was inaugurated directly in Officer Establishment School, 239 in Community Development Education Center, 75 in Administration Police Education Center, and 83 who attended the inauguration virtually in Intelligence Education Center.
In the ceremony, the Police General gave the awards to the best graduates in acamdemic field, Ipda Arum Sari, from Yogyakarta Regional Police, best graduates in psychological field, Ipda Samuel Harry Maulana from South Kalimantan Regional Police, the best graduates in physical field, Ipda Noor Ipansyah from South Kalimantan Regional Police, and the best graduates in overall, Ipda Erwan Hartanto from East Java Regional Police.
In his speech, the Police General stated that previously the level of public trust in the National Police reached more than 70%, and were ranked 3rd among state institutions.
However, with all the challenges that the institution had faced recently, the public trust towards the institution have drastically decreased, down to 9th place from the previous 3rd. This becomes the attention of all members to restore the public trust towards the institution, because their trust is the most important thing that the institution requires.
In restoring the public trust, the National Police Chief asked the new members of the police to welcome all the inputs because that provides a chance for the police to improve to be better.
“We also have to support and actively participate in successing the G20 Summit in Indonesian,” said General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
