South Sumatra Police Revealed Has Found More than Seven Thousand of Illegal Oil Well

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Muba. The South Sumatra Police Chief revealed illegal oil drilling in the Musi Banyuasin Regency. According to their report, the police found 7,734 illegal oil well in Musi Banyuasin area.

This was said directly by the South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto, as the speaker in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) at the South Sumatra Police Headquarters, Monday (12/9/22).

During the FGD, they discussed the draft Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia regarding guidelines for the management and production of traditional well oil for the people of South Sumatra Province.

"This is why we want to find the right solution in overcoming this problem, especially since we noted that there were 7,734 illegal oil wells that we managed to find in Musi Banyuasin," said the South Sumatra Police Chief.

Inspector General Toni Harmanto, M.H., hopes that the discussion of the draft can provide solid solution to overcome the issue.
