The Chief of West Sulawesi Regional Police Calls for Unity Among Ethnic Groups for Successful 2024 Elections

The Chief of West Sulawesi Regional Police Inspector General Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca has called for unity among the various ethnic groups in the province to ensure a successful and peaceful 2024 election during a meeting with cross-ethnic group leaders in West Sulawesi on Sunday (2/26/23).

He emphasized the importance of maintaining the security stability in West Sulawesi with the active participation of ethnic leaders to ensure a successful 2024 elections.

With nine ethnic groups residing in West Sulawesi, namely the people of Bugis, Makassar, Mandar, Java, Bali, Mamasa, Toraja, Kalumpang, and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), he also urged the community to continue building strong partnerships with the police in order to allow positive relationships and collaborative efforts.

“The unity and cooperation among various ethnic groups in West Sulawesi are important steps towards ensuring a successful and peaceful election,” concluded the former Head of the Marine Police of Security Maintenance Board of the Indonesian National Police (INP).
