Central Java Police Chief Guarantees the Fuel for Fishermen

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Kendal.  The head of the Central Java Regional Police, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, appealed to the public not to panic over the issue of fuel scarcity.

The Central Java Regional Police Chief revealed that he also monitors the situations around the fishermen's neighborhood and provides motivation and ensures that the fuel needs for fishermen are guaranteed.

"We will help smoothen and supervise the distribution of fuel from the refinery to the gas station for fishermen. The perpetrators of the misuse of BBM also will be dealt firmly, "explained the Central Java Police Chief.

Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, also revealed that his party had coordinated with Pertamina to ensure that the fuel needs for the fishermen were met as needed.

“The police are also monitored the current situation so that the subsidized fuel remains availablefor those who are entitled to it. Our coordination with Pertamina confirms that the availability of fuel in Central Java is sufficient for the next few months. So, we expect the people to remain calm and not commit panic buying,” explained the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

Based on the newest data, the total number of small fishermen in the Central Java region is 63,839 people, while the number of small fishing boats that are entitled to receive subsidized fuel is 35,561 units.

"Regarding fishermen's complaints about the difficulty in getting the fuel, we will Deploy our personnel at gas stations, including at gas stations specifically for fishermen," said the Two-Star general of the Central Java Police.
