Jambi police instructed their ranks to be careful in sharing the photos and reports after the suicide bomb incident in Bandung on Wednesday (12/7) morning. This statement was issued after many social media users shared many inapproriate photos of the perpetrator’s scattered limbs.
“We implore the community not to share the photos or videos of the suicide bomber,” said Jambi Police Chief, Inspector General Rusdi Hartono at Jambi Police HQ, Wednesday (12/7).
He says that by sharing the photos, the community only furthers the goals of the terrorist, which is to spread terror and fear to the mass.
“Stop the share, stop the download, don’t make it gone viral. Let us together maintain the stability and security of Jambi. Terror should be fought, not to be shared,” said the Police Chief.
