Police Will Always Supports the Vulnerable Groups

Head of the National Police Education and Training Institute (Kalemdiklat) Commissioner General Rycko Amelza Dahniel, emphasized that the Indonesian National Police will continue to support and provide the best service and protection to vulnerable groups, one of which is the disabled group, while attending the Police Art Festival which was on Saturday (12/17) at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) .

He said that the Police Art Festival activity was a continuation of the festival from last year. In this festival, people with disabilities are also given space to express and show their creativity in arts.

"The Indonesian National Police is again holding activities that show their alignment with vulnerable groups, which now in this case is the disabled group" said Commissioner General Rycko Amelza on Saturday (12/16).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said the Police Art Festival was a collaboration between the police and Tempo News Office in order to provide space and facilities for the communities, which is coincidentally in accordance with the National Police Chief orders.

"His orders, is that we must always listen to the inputs, suggestions, and criticism from the community. So this is a follow-up to last year's mural competition which gave the public opportunity to express their suggestion, input, and criticism to the Police," said the Head of the Public Relations Division Police.

Not only holding the Police Art Festival, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police said that the National Police had also held several events intended for the public to be able to provide their input and criticism to the Police, such as blog competitions, vlogs, music festivals to writing letters for the National Police Chief.

For this year, the National Police wants to create a disability-friendly environment and provide space for them to also gave their suggestions, inputs, and criticisms to the police.
