tribratanews.polri.go.idPolice have secured a truck that bought an unreasonable amount of diesel at a gas station in Jeruklegi area, Cilacap. The case is still being investigated by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (ditreskimsus) at the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng).

The Director of ditreskrimsus (Dirreskrimsus) Polda Jateng, Commissioner Johanson Ronald Simamora, S.I.K., S.H., M.H., said the disclosure was made by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Cilacap Police (Polres Cilacap) on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Initially, the truck bought diesel just like any other vehicle. However, the capacity of the fuel tank is not reasonable so that it can accommodate up to 1,000 liters of diesel.

"They used a wooden truck, covered with a tarpaulin and modified (with) a dynamo to pump subsidized diesel fuel into the kempu (tank) that has been prepared on the tailgate," said Dirreskrimsus in a statement, Thursday (14/04/22).

The personnel of Unit III Sat Reskrim Cilacap conducted an investigation and secured the truck suspected of committing a violation of subsidized diesel fuel abuse. The evidence that was secured was a modified fleet of trucks and 1,000 liters of subsidized diesel fuel in 4 tanks. The police then searched the warehouse of the company that owned the truck.

"In the warehouse there are 40 tanks measuring approximately 1,000 liters per tank. Out of the 40 tanks, 2 of them are already full with fuels, and the other one only filled about 200 liters. Then there are one big blue tank measuring 8,000 liters, 2 water pumps including hoses. Total subsidized diesel (which was found) is 3,200 liters," explained Dirreskrimsus Polda Central Java.

At that time, the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng), Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy, S.H., S.I.K., added that they have arrested two suspects, namely AF (37) who was the driver and RG (35) from the storage warehouse.

"We are still developing the inspections on the flow of subsidized diesel fuel. We are coordinating with Pertamina and the Public Prosecutor for the investigation process," concluded Kabid Humas Polda Jateng.
