The National Police has officially detained Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Chandrawati (PC) in the alleged premeditated murder case of Brigadier J. The National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the detention of Putri Candrawati was carried out after her physical and psychological health was considered to be in good condition.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III, Ahmad Sahroni, appreciated the steps taken by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. According to him, the move was very appropriate. For the sake of upholding justice, Putri must be arrested.

"The National Police Chief's decision is very appropriate. Moreover, for the sake of justice, PC must be detained," explained Ahmad Sahroni, Friday (30/9/22).

The Deputy Chairperson of Commission III said that things would hinder the legal process if PC was not detained. Therefore, PC detention is definitely the right measure taken by the police.

"We want this case to be resolved fairly quickly, so procedural matters must be obeyed," he explained.

As is known, PC was officially detained by the Police in the case of the premeditated murder of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo guarantees that Putri's cell is the same as other prisoners.

"For the prison that will be occupied by PC, I think it will be the same prison as the others. Her detention will be determined whether in the Criminal Investigation Unit or at the Mobile Brigade detention center. However, I think the standard remains the same," explained Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday, (9/30).

The National Police Chief said that after the case files were complete, PC and four other suspects would be handed over to the Attorney General's Office for prosecution at trial. He said the location of the detention of PC and other suspects will be determined by the prosecutor after the delegation.

The National Police Chief hopes that PC detention can answer public concerns regarding the legal process for the death of Brigadier J.

The former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police admitted that his party would continue to investigate this case to completion.

"Obviously this is part of our commitment to seriously resolve the handling of this case as a commitment that the Police do this firmly indiscriminately, to improve public confidence in the Police," concluded the 1991 Akabri graduate.
