Central Kalimantan Police Secured the Owner of Liquor Factory

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palangka Raya.  The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Central Kalimantan Police succeeded in revealing a large-scale liquor factory in East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, on Tuesday (9/6).

This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Commissioner K. Eko Saputro, S.H., M.H., during a press conference at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate HQ, Friday (9/9) afternoon.

He revealed that based on the data, the disclosure began with the report from the community that there was a factory who produced a huge amount of liquors

“With that knowledge, we send our personnel to the location and able to secure three suspects with the allegations of owning the liquor factory,” said the Commissioner Eko.

The same was said by the Director of General Crime Investigation, Commissioner Faisal F. Napitupulu. He revealed that the three suspects have the initials of LT (43), BS (54), and CR (66). LT and BS were arrested at Jend. Sudirman Street KM 9 and 11, while CR was arrested at H. Imran Street.

Members also confiscated evidence such as 338 boxes of ready-to-distribute liquors, 223 drums filled with fermented arak liquid, and 25 sacks of yeast, as well as other items.

The suspects will be charged with Article 204 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code concerning consumer protection from hazardous materials that endanger life and health.

"The threat of punishment applied is a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and or a maximum fine of 2 billion," concluded Commissioner Faisal.
