Bhayangkara Security Unit member of Buleleng District, Brigadier Putu Harysandi Mahayuda commended for his actions in helping an elderly civilian to make electronic ID-Card at the Sawan sub-district office, on Thursday (6/10/22).
Brigadier Putu Harysandi immediately carried an elderly woman named Made Sulindri, aged 64, and assisted her in making his e-KTP considering that Sulindri and her husband, Wayan Sumenasa, aged 64, failed to get direct assistance from the central government, the Family Hope Program (PKH).
The elderly who had been paralyzed for a long time, were have to go to the Sawan sub-district office because of the one letter difference on her Identity Card from the Family Card (KK), so that they could get the help from the government.
“So, knowing that one of his community, Brigadier Putu Harysandi, did not get the help aids of PKH due to the difference in ID-Card and Family Card, he then immediately went to help them,” said the Head of Buleleng Police Public Relations, AKP Gede Sumarjaya.
Not only help making the electronic ID-Card for the two elderly people, Brigadier Harysandi saw the condition of their house, a 2×1 meter house made of raw brick, with no mattress, only a carpet and two shabby pillows that Sulindri used to sleep.
This made Brigadier Putu Harysandi inform the situation to his colleagues in police and gathered some funds to bought them a mattres. He admit that he initiated this charity due to the concerning condition of the two elderly people.
“They just want the attention from the government,” he said,
On the other hand, responding to what was asked by the Bhayangkara Security Unit of Bungkulan Village, Bali Police Chief Inspector General Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, immediately provided their aids by giving a wheel chair, 50 Kilograms of Rice, 10 liters of cooking oil, two Kilograms of granulated sugar, a box of instant noodles, two cartons of chicken eggs, two sets of men and women's clothes.
