Securing Christmas and New Year Eve, South Sumatra Police Prepared Thousands of Personnel

Tribratanews.polri.go.idTo secure the Christmas and New Year Eve of 2023, South Sumatra Police prepared 3,067 joint personnel who are now members of Lilin Musi Operation 2022.

The Head of Public Relations of South Sumatra Police, Commissioner Supriadi explained that those thousands of personnel was prepared to secure the situation and order during the two big days in the last month of 2022.

“Each of them will be dispatched to every post, which are 42 Security Post, 19 Service Post, and six Integrated Post,” stated the Head of Public Relations of South Sumatra Police quoted from suara.com, Monday (12/5).

Those 3,067 personnel consist of 1,565 South Sumatra Police personnel, 282 Indonesian Military personnel, 301 Department of Transportation personnel, 335 Civil Service Police personnel, 43 Jasa Raharja officials, 80 firemen, 260 health workers from Provincial Health Office, 60 South Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency, 24 State Electricity Company officials, and 117 youth delegation officials.

He explained that the joint persoonel will be dispatched five days before Christmas to a week after New Year Eve.

The 1,565 police personnel will also be tasked to secure churches and state vital objects in South Sumatra.
